Kitchen Feature Wall

The color in the cabinets (if you’re interested here’s the post about the cabinets) was not enough color for me so I made a feature “wall”. Okay so it really isn’t a whole wall, just a little space that has no cabinets.

It’s the little things…

I finally changed the heavy red curtains to a bright springy teal and tan.

I think they make it look brighter in here and I love all the details on the valances.

The curtains are just two old curtains that I cut in half and added a little fabric to the bottom.

I had enough fabric left over to make B a quilted messenger bag.

 Thanks for stopping by!

Master Bath Makeover is Done!

In my quest to remove all the beige from our house I started small, in our really tiny master bath.

A few before pictures:

A much greener view:

I love how bright the green is and I think it goes well with the purple that will be in the bedroom.
I also painted the trim and accessories a sand color that doesn’t photograph well to tie in with the tiles.

Last, but not least I removed a lot of the glass beads from the chandler; it was just too much before.

What do you think??

Bathroom (but not in the bathrom) Cabinet DIY

I finished another DIY project using reclaimed parts and it has made me very thankful that the previous owners of our house left lots of spare pieces behind. All I had to purchase for my medicine cabinet was the paint and hardware.
